Baskin L. Jones, Attorney at Law
Attorney Baskin Jones is a lifelong Mississippi resident who was born in Jackson, Mississippi at Baptist Hospital. He spent his early life in the Mississippi Delta. The effects of corporate negligence and greed were easy to see in the condition of corporate facilities and injuries to workers in local factories. This injustice left a lasting mark on Mr. Jones and today he works to safeguard Mississippians from corporate injustice and insurance companies. Since middle-school he has called Jackson home, and has set up shop with no plans of that changing. Mr. Jones has a specific desire to bring about revitalization Jackson area. Part of this desire is be met in providing exceptional legal service to the citizens of the Greater Jackson Area as a Mississippi Personal Injury Attorney.

Baskin and his wife, K.C., enjoy living in the historic Fondren Neighborhood in Jackson with their two children and their lazy dog, Atticus. Baskin enjoys staying involved in the local community by speaking to high-schoolers about distracted-driving and speaking to elementary schoolers about the importance of wearing a helmet while riding a bike.
Mr. Jones’ practice revolves around any type of personal injury, from deaths caused by another (wrongful death), insurance disputes, premises liability (injuries on someone’s property), 18-wheeler or trucking wrecks, or automobile wrecks but also includes Social Security Disability cases, will and estate planning and business law in and around the state of Mississippi.
Mr. Jones is a proud alumnus of Belhaven University (then Belhaven College) in Jackson, Mississippi where he played on scholarship for the Blazer men’s soccer team and obtained a Bachelor of the Sciences in Psychology and a Minor in Business. Mr. Jones has utilized his Psychology background in the courtroom and at the settlement table for his clients as a Mississippi Personal Injury Attorney. In 2010 Mr. Jones completed his legal education at the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in all of the State courts of Mississippi, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi.
Mr. Jones has strong bonds with local and national legal organizations, and travels to attend meetings across the country. The experience and skill of working with and learning from some of the best attorneys in the county benefits attorney and client alike. Locally, Mr. Jones has judged mock-trial competitions and participated in local organizations as co-chair of Small or Solo Practices of Jackson Young Lawyers, and Secretary of the Mississippi Association of Justice: Young Lawyers Division in 2015.
